"I bought my first 250R three
years ago and rebuilt it from the frame-up.
I rode it hard, went through a couple crankshafts,
and ended up crashing and destroying the
frame last fall. I absolutely loved the
2-stroke power in the dunes, so there was
no way I was switching to a 450. I bought
a 1989 frame early this year and started
another build, keeping only the motor, plastics,
and a few misc. parts from my other quad.
College kept me from starting with a Roll
Design Lobo chassis, but I ended up with
all Roll components and am amazed by the
ride in the dunes. My goal for this build
was to resemble an ’89, but customize
it with top-notch parts while keeping it
looking as clean as possible. Thanks for
voting and let’s keep the legendary
R alive forever!"
