I would like to buy the new Wolverine 450, but a lot of person told me that it was really slow, so I'm wondering if anyone know the new Wolverine 450 top speed. Thank you

thank you and what about the acceleration is it as fast as any 4X4?
It is a basically an 04 Kodiak which doesn't set the world on fire but is not underpowered or anything. It will not keep up the big bores or 400 + class sports in drag racing. It will do just fine in the trail.

I just got a wolverine 450 and went riding on it today for the first time with a raptor 350. The wolverine isn't broke in yet so I didn't run it hard but it got up to 50mph without much trouble at around half throttle. The raptor 350 is well broke in and was able to pull away from me slowly at top speed since I wasn't giving it full throttle. I would say on pavement the wolverine might get near 60 on level ground. It feels like once I get it broke in that it should be just about even with a raptor 350 on level pavement, in acceleration and top speed.
To me it seems like no matter what you do you will never beat a true sport atv except maybe the smaller ones since the wolverine doesn't have gears and a clutch. But when you are actually riding up a trail that turns rough you can leave the sport atvs in the dust :) (and go back and help pull them out when they get stuck)

the highest i've gotten mine is 51. i don't think it had to much more, maybe 3-5 mph. but it does great in the trails no doubt about it. i'm keeping up with 2 brute force 750's in the trails.

My wolverine is broke in now and I took it out for a top speed run being paced by a car. with 7psi in the tires running on level pavement I can hit 61mph so it isn't as slow as everyone thinks. Speed was also confirmed on a gps. The 350 raptor went with me and was still able to drive away from me but not my much at the top end. up to about 50mph when I started running out of gear, err belt, we were pretty much dead even on acceleration.
also the speedometer never went above 52mph so don't believe it when it says you are going slow :)
I know 60 isnt that fast but it is fast enough to get you down the road and on to the next trail without holding up traffic. either way as long as I can go 55 with the normal flow of traffic I won't mind at all if it never goes faster than that even after the belts get loosened up a bit more. Around here you are allowed to ride on the roads on your way to a trail.

Where do you live?

Southern West Virginia right in the middle of the Hatfield McCoy trail system. As long as you have insurance on your atv you can ride it on the road(normal road rules apply, hand signals and stuff like that). insurance is really cheap so that isn't a big deal for the most part. Only bad thing is it really wears out your tires fast.
If any of you ever come into logan county WV to go riding look me up and I can show you some trails way better than those on the official trail system :)
i will have to say between 50 and 55
