Harley Swap?

Anyone ever considered swapping a Harley motor into an atv before?
I wonder what kind of mods this would entail and if it would be worth it.

there was one at a dirt drag i went to last year..it sure was cool looking. It was terribly slow though.

there is a guy by me that ice race's a ltr with a harley motor in it. he came to our swira series and did terrible but it looked cool

if u were to build one the main concer would be weight the motor's are cast iron (corect me if i'm wrong) if you want the weight of a motor i know a guy who works at hd that could get it

A crf450 has as much h.p. as an 883 sportster. Hardly worth it unless your a diehard h.d. fan..

I just thought it would be sweet to go ripping up sand mountain with a piped v-twin in my 400ex. Probably not worth the effort though.

years go there was a article about a harley davidson powered quad in dirt wheels magazine. i was called HOGTRAX. took a sportster motor and frame and mated it to a honda trx250x. if i remember correctly i was basically a dune only quad. heavy and did not turn good.
