Washington,
GA - The 2014
Mtn Dew AMA ATV Pro Motocross Championship season
kicked off this past weekend at Aonia Pass MX in
Washington, Georgia, which had one of the most exciting
Pro ATV motocross races in years, but there was
also plenty of exciting ATV motocross racing among
the amateurs with 38 classes and 662 race entries,
which was an impressive 20 percent increase over
last year.
After taking a year break from racing at the
ATV Motocross Nationals in 2013 after winning
the School Boy Sr Class Championhip in 2012, Walsh
Racecraft’s Cam Covil made his Pro-Am debut at
the opening, and this rising star made it apparent
that he was ready for the step up to Pro-Am class
by claiming both moto wins in dominant fashion.

Cam Covil swept both Pro-Am Motos in his Pro-Am debute to earn the first win of the season in the Pro-Am Class at Round 1
|
Cam Covil grabbed the Holeshot in both Pro-Am
Motos, and he held the lead from start to finish
to secure the 1-1 overall win for his first Pro-Am
Win, so it will be exciting to see if his success
continues as the season continues because the
class is stacked with plenty of fastest racers
with the opening round having eight Pro racers
pulling double duty racing on Sunday in the Pro-Am
Class.

Natalie Experience Racer, Alex Woskob, lived
up to his pre-season hype for this ATV Motocross
National Rookie that made his debut in the Pro-Am
Class, which isn’t bad for someone that only started
riding ATVs in January. Woskob recorded the fastest
laptime in Moto 2, and he was running in the second
spot to the final laps until he began experience
was mechanical issues, so he backed it down to
salvage the final spot on the podium in third
overall for a great start to the season.
