CJ Greaves Claims 10th Straight
Win at Crandon TORC
::Continued::
In the Pro Stock race, Greaves, who started on
the inside pole of the event in his Yamaha, went
to work after a slow start. He was quickly up
to second on lap two behind the Yamaha of Dillon
Pointon and then took the lead for good on lap
three. Jake Lunderby finished second, earning
his third consecutive podium in his Yamaha. Zach
Martin was third in a Yamaha, ahead of Pointon
and Polaris of Robert Loire.

“The track had water holes everywhere,” said
Greaves, who now holds a nearly insurmountable
44-point lead in the title chase. “They threw
some classes out there and the main groove was
actually really good. The track was full of holes
early so any time you caught a hole, you were
losing time. That’s how I got past Dillon. Then
it just came down to making no mistakes. We keep
trying to make this machine better every round,
seeing if any little think can make it better.
These things are on rails and hopefully we can
continue the streak.”

Yamaha's
CJ Greaves claimed his 10th win of the
season as he remains undefeated heading
into the TORC triple header season finale
at ERX

Lunderby was shuffled all the way to the outside
at the start and hard to work hard for his third
consecutive podium. He took second on lap nine
when Pointon hit a hole and bicycled into a turn.

second spot on the podium

“I was faster is spots, so he made a mistake
and I capitalized on it,” explained Lunderby.
“There were a lot of big holes out there, so it
was important to hit your lines and stay safe.
It’s great to keep the consistency going.”
Martin also had to recover from an off early
in the race. Going into the gravel pit turn, his
car shut off. Falling back several spots, he had
to make his way through the field. He took third
from Pointon on the last lap in the final turn.

Zach Martin made the pass on Dillon Pointon
to claim the final spot on the TORC Pro
Stock UTV Podium

“Right there in that last corner he left the
door open,” explained Martin. “I didn’t want to
get into him, but I had to take the spot. The
car shut off going into the gravel pit early in
the race, so had to come back from eighth on a
very tough course. I went through 30 tear-offs
and I was scraping with two laps to go. It was
interesting.”
The TORC Series heads into its final three races
during a tripleheader weekend at ERX Motor Park
in Elk River, MN. The events are scheduled for
September 23-24.
