The 2014 Honda Rancher 420, although large in size, it is fairly easy to throw around with its precise handling. The EPS feature makes the steering effortless and we would recommend investing the extra money, as your arms will thank you ten fold after a long day of riding.

One thing we did notice about the Honda Rancher 420 is that the seat is very short in length compared to other ATV models. Don’t let the small seat fool you though, Honda has used thicker and softer foam in the seat that provides a plush ride and it is large enough that you can move side to side and front and back comfortably.

The suspension system features independent double-wishbone suspension upfront with a swingarm and single shock design on the rear. Honda increased suspension stroke both front and rear for an even smoother ride. With 6.69 inches travel, the shocks do a nice job of soaking up rough terrain.

Honda also redesigned the swingarm to be stronger and to incorporate an enclosed axle design that allows the rear sealed mechanical drum brake to be moved inside the right rear wheel for better protection and increased ground clearance (7.2 inches).
