East Springfeild, PA (3/25/2015) - JB Racing/Liquid Wrench’s Peyton Zimmerman claimed the win in the Youth All Star class at the Echeconnee MX season opener of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Championships while Maddie Guyer finished second in the Schoolgirl class, and Grayson Eller rounded out the top three in the School Boy Jr class.

Echeconnee MX in Lizella, GA was the hosting facility for the opening round. The JB Racing/Liquid Wrench amateur motocross team was excited and ready for action, and after near perfect racing conditions for moto one racing action on Saturday, rain moved in on Sunday.  With heavy rain in the forecast, all second motos on Sunday were cancelled, with final results taken from Saturday’s motos. The rain may have dampened the track, but it didn’t dampen the team’s spirit, especially for Peyton Zimmerman.

Peyton Zimmerman looked strong in the Youth All Star class as he shot off the start in third place and took the lead in the following lap. “My PR2 motor and ITP Tires pulled going up the hill, and once I took the lead. I stayed out front and took the win,” said Zimmerman.

For the Supermini class, Peyton Zimmerman had no problem putting his JB Racing Super Mini on the podium with a second place finish. “It’s a confidence booster to get good finishes for the first round. It’s a good way to start off the season and gets me pumped for the next round,” said Zimmerman.

Maddie Guyer had a good weekend with an impressive second place finish in the Schoolgirl class. “I’m pretty happy with how I rode. There were three of us battling up front for the entire race, so I am excited to see how the rest of this season goes,” said Guyer.

Guyer is also competing in the Women’s class this season on the Can-Am DS450, and she earned a sixth place finish at Echeconnee. She was in the lead the majority of the race until the last turn before the checkered flag.

“This year I moved up to the Women’s class. I had a bad start but quickly made my way from the back of the pack to first place. I maintained the lead until the very last corner of the last lap when I hit a rut and crashed. I ended up sixth overall, but I know I have what it takes to be competitive in that class, and I can’t wait until the next round,” said Guyer.

Grayson Eller had a good race in the Schoolboy Jr. class and claimed a third place finish. The rough track took a toll and Eller finished with sixth place in the Schoolboy Sr. class and seventh in the Youth All Star class. “My PEP shocks worked hard and my ITP Tires were hooking up on the rough Georgia track, but I didn’t finish where I wanted. I will do better next time,” said Eller.

Brogan Guyer finished in fourth in the 90 Open Sr. class, then he earned a sixth place finish in the 90 Shifter class and eighth place in the Supermini. “I had engine trouble and borrowed a quad from my teammate Logan Peters so I could run my motos. With the help of the JB Racing/Liquid Wrench team, I was able to run my classes and get decent finishes. The finishes weren’t really what I wanted, but we will be ready for Texas and have stronger finishes there,” said Guyer.
