Jason Luburgh earned second at the Wild Boar GNCC in the Pro Class |
The Wild Boar GNCC opener was definitely a test of survival, and Luburgh along with his co-pilot and sister, Jamie, drove a smart race in the Polaris RZR XP1000.
“That was a lot of fun,” said Luburgh. “We really just wanted to come out, get our feet wet and get a finish. We knew we were doing well, so we pushed on the last lap and we finished second. I couldn’t be happier.
“The whole Bikeman team is great,” added Luburgh. “Everyone is working really hard. We really had to rush to get ready for this race. As the season goes on we’ll test some more, and to finish second is really an accomplishment. I couldn’t have done this without Jamie. She has a lot more experience in GNCC than I do so having her on board was key.”

Treavis
Poynter making his way around the rough
track at 2016 GNCC Season Opener in
Florida |
Treavis Poynter finished seventh in the Polaris RZR 1000S in the XC1 class.
“We had a couple of small issues, but the car did awesome,” said Poynter. “This is a great result for my first time out with Bikeman and with a new car. I caught the front row on the second lap, but then I lost power steering. The track was so rough, so decided to just cruise. Honestly this was the roughest race I’ve ever done.
“The motor pulled awesome in the sand,” added Poynter. “We tried the new GBC Grim Reaper Tire here this weekend and they were just awesome in the sand. The Crash Addict nerf bars and bumpers really did the trick. We beat on them all. Luckily we didn’t have to try out the cage!”

Colten Moore made his GNCC Racing Debut at the Wild Boar GNCC |
Colten Moore made his GNCC racing debut here. Unfortunately, he was backed into while being caught up in a bottleneck on the first lap breaking his front right tie-rod and didn’t finish.
“I made it like three turns and that’s about it,” said Moore. “A tie rod broke after someone backed into me. I guess if you’re going to break, do it early. I was pumped to go out there and ride, but hopefully next time it goes better.”
Jordy Reed recovered from a broken back to compete here. He was also caught in the carnage and ended his day early.

Jordy Reed got a great jump off the start in his Bikeman Performance Polaris RZR |
“I hadn’t driven since September, so it was a little weird being back in the seat,” said Reed. “I was getting around a bunch of people, I felt good, and we were charging. While we were waiting for a jam up to clear, someone crashed into us ended our day. But we learned some things in this race and I think it’s going to be a good season.”
The Bikeman Performance / rOtation Motorsports team will be back up and running when GNCC heads to the next round of GNCC UTV competition April 16-17 during Round 4 at Big Buck Farm in Union, SC.
