Elka Suspension History & Products
::Continued::
“I have seen some shocks travel around the world. For example, a shock built for a Baja 1000 racer, finds its way to Quebec then to France and then sold to a person in Australia. You can know where it’s at and what happened to the shock and we can know when the shock has been serviced,” said Yann Guilbeault

Since so much thought and custom assembly goes into every order, Elka normally takes around 10-14 business days to build and ship each order.
|
Since each pair of shocks are hand built, the turn around time is between 10-14 which is still pretty impressive for how much work goes into each shock |
Elka also has a research and development department that tests the shocks in real world environments when developing new products. Py Deneault leads the ATV & SxS R&D and is no stranger to riding and racing.
Deneault has raced in the SCORE BAJA 1000, GNCC, and most recently the 12 Hours of La Tuque with fellow GNCC racer Jarrod McClure and Brian Wolf where they finished fourth overall in the Pro ATV Class.

GNCC Racers Jarrod McClure, Brian Wolf & PY Deneault finished fourth in the 2014 12 Hours of La Tuque despite having several engine issues during the 12 hour race |
Since Elka first started out fourteen years ago, it has come to be known as a household name within the off-road powersports industry. Their popularity seems to grow with each passing year as they continue to develop new products while remaining true to their original high quality hand built shock components.
