We had a chance to ask Shawn, what sets his products apart from many of the other manufactures out there. “We design, develop, test, manufacture, and race our products so that we can assure our customers of the quality and reliability of our products. We got a chance to see a few of Hess Motorsports custom products during our visiting including their 2:1 Billet Steering Quickener setup for the Polaris RZR, which really makes a difference when racing since the steering is twice as reactive as stock. Hess Motorsports Steering Quickener is housed in a black powder coated billet bracket, which is designed to hold up under racing conditions, and it also includes a quick release steering hub, 6 bolt steering wheel, and a new steering shaft to connect this to the power steering unit for $649.99.

Hess Motorsports also produces UTV Billet race centers for 14” Hiper wheels that are designed to take all the abuse that off-road racing can throw at them and also add more style to the wheel as well. The Billet centers sell for $100 each. They were also in the middle of developing many other SxS / UTV parts including Billet Polaris RZR 1000 Hubs, Billet Engine Mounts to reduce flex and maximize power transfer, Billet Front Engine mount cross tube, Billet Rear engine mount plates to name a few of the products Hess Motorsports has in the works, and they have a full-time in house designer constantly working on a new products for the ATV and UTV industry.

Hess Motorsports also recently purchased the GT Thunder ATV Linkage line after the tragic passing of Laz and Mary Ann Sommers. “We were making many of the linkages for GT Thunder and developed a great relationship with Laz that it only felt fitting to keep the product line alive,” said Shawn Hess.
