John &
Michelle Natalie ATV Motocross Racing Family
::Continued::
Another change for next season is that the pro's
will be running on Saturday, but according to
John Natalie, it is a good thing. “I'm hoping
that having the races on Saturday will bring in
more spectators and help to bring the numbers
up, but what I really think the sport needs is
for the promoters to work together and step it
up. Right now ATV's are basically a side show
to the bikes and they need to take that chance
and put ATV's in the spot light. I have been very
fortunate to be able to race for a living, but
I see all these kids out there like Eli Hopkins,
who has been out here training with us, and I
really have to wonder if there will be a future
in this sport for him if things keep going like
they are. I know that Can-Am and Motoworks have
put a lot into their racing efforts and supporting
the series and I hope that some of the other manufacturers
will follow suit so that this sport can grow to
what it should be,” said Natalie, who is
hoping the rebounding economy will help get things
back on track.

in the Wonen's Class for the 2011 AMA Motocross
Nationals on a Honda TRX 450R |
One thing that will be quite different for the Natalie's
this season is that they have the added responsibility
of their daughter Lexus, who will be traveling with
them all season. “It's more responsibility
and it does make things a little more difficult,
but she is so much fun I can't imagine her not there
with us all the time,” said Michelle Natalie,
who will be back on a Honda for the 2011 season.
“She is a lot of fun. We bought her this
little electric four-wheeler and she was out riding
on that before she was able to even walk. It was
amazing!” added John, sounding like a typical
proud dad.
As for Lexus carrying on the family racing tradition
is still to be determined. “We want her
to do whatever makes her happy. If she wants to
race, that's great, but if she wants to do something
else, that's fine to,” said John Natalie.

Although the pressure is on with the season just
a couple weeks away, John and Michelle Natalie
are both excited and ready to go racing. “I
can't wait! I'm feel like I am ready and I can't
wait to get out there and prove it,” John
Natalie stated.
The first round of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships will get underway on February 26th
in Washington, GA, where weather will play a big
part in how things go for everyone, but regardless
of the track conditions, one thing is for certain,
John and Michelle Natalie will both be there fighting
for championships.
