Gainesville, FL –
With the 2011 season right around the corner,
everyone is working hard to get ready for the opening
round of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championships,
and Can-Am's John Natalie, Jr. and his wife Michelle
are no exception. They have been training hard down
in Florida over the winter and are excited about
the upcoming season.
As the only true pro racing husband and wife
effort in the national circuit at this point,
the Natalie's are quite busy indeed in the off
season. “I'm always testing and training
for the Can-Am/Motoworks team to get ready for
the next season and on top if it all, we have
to get Michelle's quad ready to go and keep the
practice bikes running as well. It can be a lot
of work, but this is what we do and we love it,
and we have a lot of great sponsors that help
us to keep everything going,” stated John
Natalie.
Living in Pennsylvania does have it's disadvantages
weather wise, but the Natalie's usually head south
for the winter. “We've been practicing down
in Ocala, Florida at a track called the Hardrock,
but the weather has even been a bit cold down
here this year, but it sure beats the snow and
cold back home,” said Natalie.

For 2011, John Natalie will be starting his fourth
season with Can-Am as a part of the Motoworks
team and although he has not been able to secure
a championship for the manufacturer as of yet,
the number 13 racer is quite confident for the
upcoming year. “I have been training hard
and I am more determined than ever to win it this
year. Last season we proved that the Can-Am can
be on top of the podium and I am going to do everything
I can to make sure I am up there as much as possible,”
he said.
As for the competition this season, Natalie has
some mixed feelings about Josh Creamer and Dustin
Wimmer leaving the series. “I'm excited
because I think that this is going to be my year,
but I'm kind of disappointed that some people
dropped out because if I go out there and win,
I really want it to be against the best racers
out there and not have people say that I won it
because this guy or that guy wasn't there this
year. I know that I have been training really
hard and I am ready to go out there and win a
championship,” said Natalie.

The
Rockstar / Yoshimura / Suzuki ATV Race Team
dominated the AMA Pro ATV MX Series for
the past three years, but with sales of
the Suzuki LTR450 on hold due to EPA issues
for over a year ago, the funding for the
race team was dropped, which left both Creamer
& Wimmer scrambling to find rides for
2011, but unfortunately, neither was able
to rides for the AMA Pro ATV Nationals,
but they did get support to compete in other
very respectable ATV race series.
