Can-Am Outlander MAX 500
2013 Can-Am Outlander MAX 500 EFI 4x4 Utility ATV

The new Can-Am Outlander MAX 500 family uses the second-generation frame, gets a 15 percent boost in power, has a new passenger seat and more. Like it’s larger Outlander siblings, the Outlander MAX 500 gets new Dynamic Passenger Comfort (DPC) ergonomics and the convenient Convertible Rack System (CRS). The new passenger-inspired features, enhanced 46- HP engine and SST frame give the MAX 500 class-leading power, exceptional handling and industry-leading ergonomics, while also taking the two-rider experience to the next level. It is available in three trim levels in several colors for 2013.

Using proven Geometric Contact Control design principles, BRP engineers took an innovative approach to all aspects of the frame of this new-generation Outlander MAX. This allows the chassis of the next-generation Outlander MAX, with its 59-inch wheelbase, to deliver the performance the Can-Am brand is known for, yet enhance the overall comfort of the vehicle at all levels of riding for riding alone and with a passenger.

With its innovative ride quality and unmatched passenger-friendly design, the Outlander MAX ATV is ideal for single- rider adventures and two-rider cruises. The removable rear seat has been redesigned to better accommodate a passenger and now features a new shape, reshaped handles, increased support and improved footrests. The seat is also more flexible, form fitting, taller and sits higher to provide enhanced passenger comfort levels. When not in use, the seat can be removed and replaced with a handy water-resistant, CRS storage bin. The rear cargo rack is accessible even when outfitted with the rear seat or the removable storage bin.

The next generation Outlander MAX is powered by a revised 499cc Rotax V-Twin with 46-HP horsepower that can outper- form competitive ATVs with larger displacement levels. Its impressive power-to-weight ratio and larger fuel tank also keeps riders (and passengers) entertained for longer.
