2013 CanAm Renegade 800R X xc EFI 4x4 Utility ATV

Building on the championship-winning experience of the Can-Am GNCC racing program, BRP engineers used feedback from its 4x4 woods racers, including multi-time GNCC U2 class champion Clifton Beasley, to develop the Renegade 800R X xc. The “X” package includes extra parts and accessories to help it stand out and perform under extreme conditions. It is also the only sport-oriented ATV with power steering available on the market.

Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
Calibrated specifically for aggressive trail riding and racing, the 800R X xc ATV’s Tri-mode DPS system features three modes (MIN, MED and MAX) lets riders select the desired amount of steering assist for the terrain and conditions. DPS
offers variable steering assistance no matter what mode is selected. The system is designed to offer less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed. This technology also includes a Direct Link setup that uses advanced magnetic field
sensors for faster response to steering input than competitive technology, which then minimizes steering lag. Less kickback and more trail feedback is supplied to the operator because of the 50:1 final gear ratio, which is the largest in the
industry. A high-capacity 50-amp motor means the DPS will never fade with heavy use and all DPS-equipped models also come with the Visco-Lok QE.

Visco-Lok QE front differential
All DPS-equipped models come with the Visco-Lok QE calibration giving an even quicker engagement of the front differential. It progressively transfers power from a slipping front wheel to the gripping one – automatically with no buttons to
push or levers to pull. Plus, there’s no wheel hop or driveline wind-up so the system is totally transparent to the driver and extremely easy to steer. Can lock up to 100 percent with no rev or speed limiter. This differential, unlike some competitor’s differentials, does not have a speed or rev limiter.

FOX Podium X suspension
Up front, the Renegade 800R X xc features FOX Podium X piggyback shocks with high- and low-speed compression adjustability, rebound and preload adjustment. Front travel is 9.0 inches (23.6 cm). The rear also features FOX Podium X piggyback shocks and high- and low-speed compression adjustment, rebound and preload adjustability. Rear suspension travel is 9.3 inches (24.1 cm).

12-inch (30.5 cm) aluminum beadlock wheels
Inspired by GNCC racing and feedback from racing research and develop, the X xc model’s cast-aluminum wheels include beadlocks. This design clamps the tire bead securely to the Renegade 800R X xc wheel for added performance under heavy acceleration and cornering.

Renegade X xc-specific graphics
The 2013 Can-Am Renegade 800R X xc wears a new yellow, black and white X Package graphics kit on its trademark yellow plastic. A premium, embroidered gripper seat cover adds to its ready-to-race appeal. X-Package seat cover
Specific to the Renegade 800R X xc is a seat cover that caters to aggressive riding styles and the ATV’s stellar finish.

An aluminum skid plate provides extra protection for extreme riding situations and brutal terrain.
