2014 Can-Am Outlander 800 MAX XT-P

Can-Am Outlander 800 MAX XT-P ATV Key Features

The Can-Am Outlander MAX XT-P, like the 1000 XT-P, is designed as a sport-oriented two-up ATV. It starts with our signature Outlander MAX XT platform and two-up configuration, and then adds a full FOX suspension, beefy bumpers, a racing-influenced painted black-and-yellow color scheme, beadlock wheels and full-wrap wind deflectors for an even more rugged look and performance feel. New for 2014 is a revised 3-D analog / digital gauge package and Tri-Mode DPS.

Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
The Can-Am Tri-Mode DPS system is outfitted with three separate selectable levels of steering assistance: Minimum, Medium or Maximum. Dynamic Power Steering provides variable steering assistance no matter what mode the rider chooses for the terrain. The system is designed to offer less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed. All DPS-equipped models also come with the Visco-Lok QE.

Visco-Lok QE front differential
The Visco-Lok system offers a progressive, auto-locking design that is unique to the ATV industry. Riders can simply focus on riding while letting the smart and fine-tuned Visco-Lok system handle the traction and four-wheel-drive differential lock duties. The innovative system constantly monitors front wheel speed and, if it detects one wheel spinning more quickly than the other, it progressively sends additional power to the wheel with better traction. It also eliminates wheel hop or driveline wind-up helping it to remain transparent to the operator. The system offers 100 percent locking without the need for a rev or speed limiter. QE stands for quicker engagement. Although the Visco-Lok QE front differential system offers the same features and benefits of normal Visco-Lok, it also acts faster than it does on non-DPS Outlander ATVs.

New 3-D analog / digital gauge package
The updated 3-D analog / digital gauge package has a new background and is an upgrade over the base model. This includes an analog tachometer and speedometer combined with an advanced digital information center.

FOX Podium X piggyback adjustable shocks
These high-performance shocks have high- and low-speed compression, rebound and preload adjustments to allow riders the flexibility of tuning the suspension to fit the terrain and riding style. Proven in the Can-Am GNCC series, the FOX Podium X piggyback shocks also enhance the XT-P ATV’s handling and performance in challenging conditions.

Aluminum yellow-and-black beadlock wheels
Based on center-less, computer optimized wheel design to reduce unsprung weight and offer improved strength, the blackand- yellow beadlock wheel is a mechanical fastening device that makes it nearly impossible for the tire to break its bead from the wheel during heavy acceleration or cornering. Durability was increased in strategic areas while excess material was eliminated in other spots to save weight. The XT-P runs 26-inch (66 cm) Carlisle ACT radial tires.

Aluminum handlebars w/ square bar pad and race-type grips
The XT-P includes a lower-profile handlebar with square bar pad and racing grips for enhanced performance.

Wind deflectors w/ aluminum, full-wrap braces
The wind deflectors wrap around the handlebar ends for an aftermarket-like look that is comfortable and protective.

Painted black-and-yellow plastic
Designed to be incredibly resistant to scratches, the Can-Am X-Team-inspired painted black plastic with yellow highlights offers head-turning boldness.

3,000-pound WARN winch w/ wireless remote and integrated storage
The Outlander MAX 1000 XT-P has the same 3,000-pound WARN winch with roller fairlead, wired remote control and integrated remote storage.
