                                The AMA ATV Harescramble Series
consists of 7 rounds with the first 2 rounds being
completed in Georgia and North Carolina. The round
in Georgia was about as wet as you could get with
massive downpours. The round in North Carolina greeted
the riders with temps in the mid 80's and dust.

the schedule | So far the turnouts have been light, but the
tracks and staff have been great to deal with.

The majority of the AMA ATV Harescramble
Series is run in the North East area of

in New York, and another in Connecticut. The series
has seen Bryan Cook, Brandon Sommers, and Tom
Wright battle it out for the Pro #1 plate. The
series would hit Round # 3 in Wisconsn and Round

ATV Haresramble Racing Series - Round 3 -
                                    Sugar Camp |
Round three of the AMA National Harescramble
Series had the series moving to Sugar Camp Racing
in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. With the turnout of
GNCC regulars such as Mike Penland, Daryl Rath
and Brandon Sommers local favorite Casey Pries
would have his work cut out for him. Wisconsin
would offer some new terrain for the series that
would consist of a little bit of everything. Tight
technical sections mixed in with rolling hills
and fast open grass sections along with a bit
                                of Motocross.

at the SnowShoe GNCC | As the flag dropped Brandon Sommers would rocket
out and take the lead which he would never relinquish.
He finished the race almost lapping the entire
field. Local racer Casey Pries would be the only
other rider to finish on the lead lap. Finishing
in third overall was John Mullaney. The biggest
battle would be in the Utility class where local
Zachary Zakowski beating 2 GNCC regulars Daryl
Rath, who finished 2nd, and Mike Penland who finished
                                3rd.

ATV Haresramble Racing Series - Round 4 -
Miles Mountain | Round # 4 was located at Miles Mountain in Elkland,
Pennsylvania. The race had the series biggest
turnout thus far with 260 ATV racers. It had been
raining throughout the week and race day would
not be any different. With temps in the high 80s
and the sun shining for the morning race, the
afternoon lineup proved to be much different as
the dark clouds rolled in the rain and cool air
came with them. The drops starting falling as the flag was about
to drop. With the course already muddy and water
running down the hills, the rain did not help
the condition of the course. GNCC Pro's Chris
Borich, Brandon Sommers, Jarrod McClure, Jeffrey
Pickens, and Tom Wright were all in attendance
vying for the $3,000 Pro purse that was up for
grabs. 22 riders signed up for a shot at the money. |
