                                  Round 3 - Pro ATV Race Report & Video::Continued::
Kawasaki Monster Energy’s Chad Wienen was
back in action after a couple of bad motos at round
2, where he was plagued with mechanical issues.
Wienen got off to a good start in moto one, taking
third off the line behind Byrd and Dustin Wimmer.
After a brief first lap battle, Wienen got around
Wimmer and began to chase down Byrd. Wienen was
right on Byrd’s tail and was about to go for
the pass, when things went wrong. “I caught
a rut with my front tire and it sent me off the
track, but luckily I didn’t lose any places
and still finished in second,” said Wienen.

Although he had a good start in the first moto,
the number 44 Kawasaki got off to a slower than
anticipated start. “They held the gate for
a long time and that kind of messed me up on my
start,” said Wienen. His mid pack start
didn’t seem to slow him down much at all
as he quickly worked his way through traffic and
found himself once again battling with Dustin
Wimmer. Wienen was able to get around Wimmer,
but his battle with the current champ slowed his
efforts enough as to where he was unable to gain
enough ground on Joe Byrd to try for a pass before
reaching the checkered flag, but Wienen’s
solid performance earned him second overall. “It
felt good to be back on the podium. It’s
definitely not a cake walk this year so I’m
going to keep pushing and training hard,”
said Wienen, who has a 68 point deficit off of
first place. “My goal is to stay healthy
this season and stay consistent,” he concluded.

Chad Wienen made the pass on #1 Dustin Wimmer
to take over the 2nd spot with Wienen recording
the fastest laptime in both Motos, but he
wasn't able to reel in Joe Byrd |

Chad Wienen earned a season first Podium
finish at Ballance Moto X, and several of
his family members piled into a van to make
the trip to Kentucky to cher for Chad &
the extra motivation obviously helped with
a Podium finish | Suzuki Makita RockStar’s Dustin Wimmer,
who seemed to be a little off his game this weekend,
got good starts in both motos, but was unable
to hold the pace of Wienen and Byrd. “I
wasn’t as comfortable with the track as
I would have liked to be, but things will definitely
go better next round,” said Wimmer, who
is now only one point ahead of Joe Byrd.

                                  | Suzuki's
#1 Dustin Wimmer wasn't the dominate force
at Ballance Moto X this past weekend as
he settled for the 3rd spot, and for those
that might not remember, his two race win
streak ended at Ballance Moto X in 2008
when he also finished in the 3rd spot, and
he finished 2nd at Birch Creek behind Joe
Byrd at Round 4, so I am sure Wimmer will
be looking to change that trend in less
                                      than 2 weeks |
Kawasaki Monster Energy’s Josh Creamer, who
had a nasty wreck last round, was back to business
for round three. “I felt good out there. I’m
back to about 90-95% after my crash. I was really
hurting after that and didn’t get to train
like I wanted to for a few days, so I got a little
tired out there, but I should be back to 100% next
round,” said Creamer. Josh rode strong in
moto one after a good start, finishing in fourth
place. Moto two, Josh had to work a little harder
for his 4th place finish as he was 10th off the
line, but consistently picked off the competition
                              to finish in fourth.

Cody Miller, who was also involved in round three’s
horrific crash, had an impressive comeback after
suffering from some bad luck in the last couple
of rounds. The Can-Am Warnert racer had good starts,
and rode smart and consistently, which allowed
him to take a 6-6 moto finish, which earned him
5th overall, his highest finish so far this season.
“I made a couple of mistakes out there,
but I’m ok with it. I had finished in the
top five, so I am pretty happy with that, but
I would like to be in the top three next round,”
                                said Miller.

Josh Creamer was back on the gas at Round
3 claiming the 4th spot, which keeps him

he remains 4th in points | Yamaha’s Thomas Brown continued to impress
this weekend. The Texas native has had consistent
finishes at every round so far, and with his 6th
place overall this weekend is holding down a very
impressive fourth place in the points race, only
ten points under Josh Creamer who is sitting in
                                third.
