Can-Am Motoworks’ Brandon Smith made his first appearance in the top ten this season taking ninth place overall. “I felt good out there and I hope to keep improving my finishes,” said Smith.

Doug Gust encountered some issues this weekend, but managed to hang on to finish in the top ten. “I had a rock get stuck in my front brakes in moto one, and in moto two, I got one stuck in my rear brakes,” said the Suzuki Makita RockStar veteran racer.

Pat Brown appeared to be getting used to his new YFZ450R. Pat rode a consistent race to take 11th overall followed by Harold Goodman in 12th.

Can-Am Motoworks’ Jeremy Lawson, who took the holeshot in moto two and led for three laps, looked as if he could end up on the podium, but an unexpected mechanical issue sidelined his moto two charge. Can-Am Warnert Racing’s John Natalie didn’t fair mush better than Lawson. Natalie looked impressive, taking a 5th place finish in moto one, but he also encountered mechanical issues in moto two, which ended things early for him.
