Suzuki's Dustin Wimmer
Wins Finish Line Thriller
::Continued::
Doug Gust was looking good as he grabbed the
moto one holeshot. Gust would fall back to third
after battling with Joe Byrd and Josh Creamer.
In moto two, Gust was again right in the mix of
things and would battle intensely with Josh Creamer.
Gust would eventually cross the finish line in
second place behind Wimmer. “My Rockstar
Makita Suzuki pulled hard off the starts and had
the power I need,” stated Gust, who was
happy to be on th podium once again.

Creamer in Moto 2 |
Joe Byrd was looking like he was back on top of
his game and gave Dustin Wimmer a run for his money
in moto two, but a close encounter with Josh Creamer
in the final lap of moto two dashed his hopes of
a podium finish.
Can-Am Warnert Racing’s John Natalie put
in a good effort to take a 6-5 finish, while teammate
Cody Miller also put in two consistent motos.
Can-Am Motoworks’ Jeremy Lawson came back
to finish 5th in moto two after a crash in the
first moto left him out of the top ten.
Chad Wienen was having issues at this round.
The number 44 Kawasaki rider was involved in a
first turn crash in moto one that sent him back
to last place, and in the second moto, a poor
start hindered his efforts as well.
Round number ten of the AMA ATV Motocross Championship
series will be held on August 2nd at Red Bud in
Michigan and should offer plenty of excitement
as the points battle heats up even more with only
two rounds and four Pro Motos left for the 2009
season.
A complete race report, results, and photos will
be coming soon!
