Shay Honeywell had the lead in the first lap of moto one, but she had plenty of company and eventually fell back for a fourth place finish. For the second moto, Honeywell had a good start and was holding down the number two spot. She was able to hold her position despite pressure from Maci Davenport and claimed a second place finish, giving her second overall on the Women’s podium, her best finish of the season.

Michelle Suciu made her return to nationals for this round and proved she is still a contender for the podium. Suciu was in third early in the first lap of moto one and battled it out with Shay Honeywell, but was able to hold third as she crossed the finish line.

For the second moto, a bad start put Suciu at the back of the pack, but she charged her way up to a fourth place finish for the final spot on the Women’s podium. Suciu also claimed the third spot in the Senior 40+ class.

Maci Devenport made her Women’s class debut at Briarcliff MX and even though she was still racing her mini quad, she scored an impressive 5-3 for a fourth place overall finish.

Brandy Cottage made her second appearance of the season in the Women’s class, and put together two consistent motos, going 6-5 to round out the top five overall.

Root River Racing’s #38 Sam Rowe and #33 Dalton Hicks battled in both Open A motos with Rowe holding on to claim the overall win followed by Dalton Hicks finishing in second overall.
