ATV Motocross Championship
Amateur Race Report
::Continued::
Production B was another class full of great
racing. Sky Volkamer swept both moto’s to take
the overall win. Another impressive aspect of
Volkamer’s race was that he laid down the fastest
lap time of the whole class in both his heat race
and in his second moto. Volkamer also leads the
points with 170, but the points battle is close
with Tyler Mack only five points behind.

The number 41 racer of Zach Kaczmarzyk had a
strong performance and took second place overall
in the Production B class. Kaczmarzyk had a solid
ride and finished second place in both his heat
race and second moto. With two rounds left to
go, Kaczmarzyk sits in fourth place in the points.

The third place finisher in production B was
Tyler Mack. 4-3 moto finishes led Mack to this
third place position, but they did not come easy.
In his heat race, Mack had to work his way up
after crossing the line in seventh place at the
end of the first lap. Mack is currently in second
place in the points, but with two rounds left
to go, and only a five point gap from first, expect
to see this points battle come down to the wire.

First overall in the 450 C class was Nick Weber.
Weber dominated the class by winning both his
heat race and the second moto. Weber gained a
few more points and currently sits in second,
26 points below first place of Jacob Stevens.
Jacob Stevens took second overall in 450 C. Stevens
won his heat race by nearly eight seconds, but
a third place in the second moto would keep him
from the overall win. However, Stevens is heading
into the ninth round at Red Bud MX with the points
lead.
Bringing home third place in the 450 C was Zac
Mikulski. Mikulski had a strong ride with 3-2
moto finishes on the weekend, and is holding down
third place in points.
The amateur racers will hit the track again when
round nine of the Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motorcross National
Championship series heads to Red Bud MX in Buchanan,
MI on July 25th and 26th.
