Chad Wienen Clinches
4X Championship with Win
::Continued::
Hetrick Racing’s Joel Hetrick had a solid day,
going 1-3 and taking home second overall. The
first moto Hetrick seized the SSI Decals holeshot
award and quickly pulled a gap to claim the win.
“The first moto my DASA motor pulled me out of
the start and the Maxxis tires were gripping.
I put some fast laps down in the beginning and
pulled a little gap on Chad. I knew he was lying
back with the championship on the line, but I
just ran my race. I just wanted to go out there
and put hard laps down and finish the season out
strong,” stated Hetrick.

DASA Racing's
#88 Joel Hetrick claimed the moto one
holeshot

The second moto, Hetrick had some troubles that
ruined his chance of the overall win, but he still
managed to fight his way to the podium. “Second
moto didn’t turn out how I wanted. I stalled in
the corner and put a hard charge on to come back
from around tenth to third. It’s not how I wanted
to end the season, but I worked with what I had,
and did what I needed to do,” explained Hetrick.

Joel Hetrick claimed a dominate win in
Moto One & finished in the third spot
in Moto Two for 2nd Overall

Although the final round did not come to an end
the way Hetrick wanted, he had an extremely impressive
season, claiming the ATVRiders.com fastest qualifier
award, the SSI Decals holeshot award, four overall
wins, and gave the reigning champ of Wienen the
closest points battle he has had to face in many
years. “I’m pumped, this is the greatest season
I’ve ever had. It’s definitely monumental for
me. It’s awesome to have all these great sponsors
behind me. Jay Gobel with Impact Solution had
my shocks dialed all season. Elka suspension has
been great from the start. Maxxis tires hooked
up for that holeshot and the DASA motor pulled
me out of that gate. I want to be really strong
for next year. I just have to put a lot of work
in and work harder than everyone else,” said Hetrick.

Yamaha's
#84 Thomas Brown charged his way into
the third spot in Moto One with Ronnie
Higgerson in chase
|
Rounding out the Pro podium in third was Yamaha
rider Thomas Brown. Brown went 3-2 for a consistent
end to his season. “First moto we came out of
the start rough, and I had to keep picking people
off one lap at a time and made my way to third.
Second moto I was looking to do better. I came
out of the start decent and was sitting good on
lap two. I could see the lead, it wasn’t far in
front of me. I went to pass and a berm grabbed
me and I just stopped. I had to regroup and come
back through and ended up getting back to second.
It was a good weekend with third overall and third
on the championship,” explained Brown.

Maxxis'
Thomas Brown finished third overall in
the Championship points race as well as
third overall at Loretta Lynn's Season
Finale
|
With the 2015 season behind him, Brown is ready
to take on a new season and expand his team. “I
am really happy with everything. The Maxxis Yamaha
powered team is just great. Everyone has pulled
together to put this team together and just jumped
on board with me. It’s a great honor to work with
a lot of these people. I’m looking forward to
2016 and making this team expand. I’m fired up
right now and I’m going to work as hard as I need
to towards a championship next year,” said Brown.
