4X Championship with Win
::Continued::
Traveling to Tennessee, all the way from California,
was David Haagsma Jr., who clinched fourth overall.
This was only Haagsma’s third appearance this
season but his presence was surely felt by his
competition. Haagsma’s 5-4 moto finishes led him
to his fourth place overall finish.

Maxxis' David
Haagsma got off to a great start in Moto
one with Chad Wienen in chase
|
“Both motos I had great starts. I have to thank
Curtis Sparks and Maxxis tires for hooking up.
Second moto after my great start, I passed Upperman
for second, but later on Brown and Hetrick were
able to run me down. I ended up fourth that moto
and fourth on the day. This track is pretty knarly
and the heat is a lot different than our heat
back at home. The track turned out really rough.
I’m going to come back next year and hopefully
do the whole series,” said Haagsma.

Vechery Racing’s Ronnie Higgerson is an up and
coming top rider in the Pro class. Higgerson clinched
a top five finish at Loretta Lynn’s, with 4-5
moto finishes. First moto Higgerson tied his very
best moto finish in his Pro career with a fourth.
“First moto I had a bad start but worked my way
up through the pack pretty quick. I battled with
Thomas Brown for most of the moto. “In the second
moto I was running in third, and started having
some bike problems. It was cutting out but cleared
up and I made some ground back up to finish fifth,”
explained Higgerson.

Ronnie Higgerson rounded out the top five
overall

Higgerson has been gaining speed and confidence
with every round this season, and looks to be
a podium contender very soon. “The fifth overall
is a good confidence booster to keep training
in the offseason. I hope next year to come out
and be a top three contender every race. I’ll
keep this momentum going through the offseason,
and come out swinging next year,” said Higgerson.

JB Racing's
Jeffrey Rastrelli finished in 6th overall
after dealing with some issues in each
moto
|
Another topic worthy of mention was Joe Byrd
claiming the SSI Decals holeshot award in moto
two. “This is probably my 30th year at Loretta
Lynn’s and I’ve got about 46 holeshots on this
gate. I can’t thank DASA power enough,” said Byrd.
