Championship Race Report

The Super Mini class is made up of racers from
ages twelve to fifteen. This class saw a very
intense battle between the top two racers all
season long. When all was said and done, the points
came out to a tie at 195 between Peyton Zimmerman
and Bryce Ford.

win, but Ford finished 5th in moto one after
thinking he only needed to finish third
overall or better to take the championship
due to confusion on the tie-breaker system |
After the tie breakers, Zimmerman came out the
national champion with Ford in second place. Zimmerman
and Ford each took four overall wins throughout
the season. Trevor Thatcher finished third with
143 points. Thatcher took three podiums throughout
the season. In fourth was Logan Stanfield with
139 points.

Girl’s ages 13-17 compete in the Schoolgirl class.
These young ladies are the future of the women’s
class, and the future looks very bright. The competition
was fierce this season, but Niamh Shaw fought
hard and took the national championship. The championship
points battle came down to the very last round,
but Shaw performed great under pressure, and took
the overall win to seal the deal on the national
championship.

Coming in second was Maci Devenport who finished
just five points below Shaw with 190. Devenport
finished with three overall wins at the end of
the year. Johannah Vossman had to sit out a few
rounds this season with an injury, but she still
accumulated enough points to finish third.

Taking the national championship in 90 Open Sr.
(12-15) was the number 44 of Bryce Ford with 205
points after six overall wins throughout the season.
Finishing second was Lance Walker with 185 points
and rounding out third place was Root River Racing’s
Brandon O'Neill with 174 points.
