Cernic Racing, promoted his first ATV

this past weekend in Johnstown, PA, and
the facility was packed beyond its capacity
with racers and fans, which made parking
a premium despite Cernics having several
large level parking areas, but besides
a few issues the event went out without
any major hitches with the help of the
Racer Productions crew | This weekend was the first time for the series
to be hosted by Pleasure Valley Raceways where
a particularly tricky uphill whoop section was
the scene for many rider mishaps on Saturday including
a rather spectacular save by Doug Gust (photo
link). “I was just praying that I could
hang on,” said Gust. Luckily, the veteran
                                racer did just that.
Despite the hot and dusty conditions on Saturday,
Cale Downen took the win in the LCQ, followed
by Harold Goodman, Kawasaki’s Russell Shumaker
                                and Hunter Miller. Can-Am/Motoworks’ Brandon
Smith was not as lucky and just barely missed
qualifying for Sunday’s main event. Trent
Kandel, Michael Brown, Brock Lyons and Brian Ace
also were not able to qualify for the Pro Main.

Josh Creamer also nearly had a get

John Ragon (above right) wasn't able to
save it and went for a tumble, but jumped
back up and went on to qualify for first

ATV's Cale Downen grabbed the LCQ Holeshot
and lead from start to finish to earn his
spot on the gate, and he was followed by

Racing put on an really nice fireworks display,
which was visible through the out the facility,
and nearly everyone took a break from either wrenching
or socializing to check out the fireworks show
