Goes to Pine Mountain for Round 3
::Continued::
Randy Fox was the man again in the Open Am class.
He took the lead from the start and pulled away
from the class to win by more than 4 minutes. Second
went to Berry Lucas and third to Scott Maze. Maze
was one of the last quads off the line on the start
but he quickly moved through the pack and made several
passes to position himself near the front of the
pack. Daniel Riley put in 2 very fast laps but was
unable to make the last lap due to machine problems.
Matt Lundwall kept a steady pace and finished the
race in fourth, and Riley rounded out the top five.

Dewey
Miller would get out to an early start in
the 45+ Class |
Mike Yount is proving to be the new kid on the
block in the 45+ class. Mike knocked down his
second victory in so many races. Experience and
skill is still with Dennis Wilson as he nailed
another second place finish and still controls
the points lead in class. Dewey Miller must have
been the only one wearing his bifocals at the
starting line because when the green flag went
up he was the only that started. It looked like
everyone else in the class was sleeping or something,
Dewey was halfway to the first turn before we
every heard another quad fire up. Ron Swift is
still experiencing little bit of that bad luck.
He has been running with the leaders for the past
couple of races but has found trouble on the last
lap that has not allowed him to pace as high as
he could have. Mike Nichols ran the Cannondale
into a tree and got a bent tie rod for his efforts.
In the Junior class Logan James was off to good
start and was in the lead for the first lap and
half until his battery cable broke. Shade Spencer
took over the lead followed by Marshall Jeffries
and Joshua Miller. Shade rode very fast on the
first two laps and backed it down on the third
and final lap to hold on for the win. Logan still
managed to finish fourth and Nathan Swift fifth.
David Dillard won the Utility class but Paul Bennett
was on fire on his Polaris. Paul’s first
two laps were nothing short of amazing. Unfortunately
the front suspension broke and forced him to limp
it in on the third and final lap.
The next race is a Caddo Point in Greenville Texas
on October 10-11. This is the Miller Brothers place.
Cody and Hunter Miller are both factory Can-Am riders
and Caddo Point is the location of the 12 Hours
of ATV America race a couple years ago. Check out
