The Q83 team of Cody Mitchell & Colt Brinkerhoff have proved they are a threat in 2014 after they won the final round of BITD in 2013 then they secured the lead briefly at the Parker 250 before experiencing mechanical issues |
The fourth place machine was none other than the Q83 of Cody Mitchell and Colt Brinkerhoff. After taking the 2013 season finale win at the Henderson 250, Mitchell and Brinkerhoff experienced mechanical issues in the later stages of the race. After briefly holding the lead, a clogged filter slowed their race winning pace.
Being forced to hold the throttle pinned to compensate for the failing air filter, the team ran out of gas with fifteen miles to go. While waiting for a course worker to deliver fuel, the other riders made their way by the men forcing them to settle for a 4th place.
