- SxS Race Report
::Continued::
HCR Racing’s Jeff Obering also fell victim to
a couple of flat tires and a blown shock while
out on the course, but the team still managed
to finish in seventh place. “We were in a new
car and had some new components so it was really
good for us to finish where we did considering
how rough it was and how much carnage was out
there,” said Obering.

The #1975 of Mike Cafro finished in the number
8 spot, while #1916, Cody Nygren claimed ninth.
Can-Am’s Jason and Derek Murray encountered some
issues early in the race but were still able to
round out the top ten in the 1900 class. “We had
a good start and we were running up in the top
three. The Maverick was running strong but three
miles before the pits on the second lap, we went
into limp mode. We got to the pits and found a
wire had pulled out of the aftermarket fuel management
system. We were able to fix it and get going again,”
said Derek Murray.

The number 1921 Method Racing Wheels RZR of John
Angal had taken the early lead and led the entire
race until the final five miles. “Our transmission
broke and that was all there was. We were towed
off and it took us about 45 minutes to fix it
so we were able to finish the last five miles
of the race. It was pretty disappointing after
all the effort and have such a good ride until
that final stretch,” said Angal, who will be on
a mission at the next round.

UTV Inc's John Angal built a huge lead of
over 10 minutes in the final lap of the
Mint 400, but a transmission failure within
5 miles of the finish sent him to the back
of the pack for a dissappointing finish |
The Silver State 300 is the next 2015 Best in
