UTV World Championship - SxS Race Report
::Continued::
The number 910 UTV of Richie Laatz from North
Las Vegas had a great race and charged his way
into the number two spot. Laatz held a fast pace
and despite the rough and dusty conditions, closed
the gap on the leader Jacob Shaw and finished
just ten seconds behind in second place with a
time of 1:29:13.435.

Maxxis/H&M Motorsport’s Beau Baron, had his
fair share of issues out on the course, but managed
to end his day in third place on the Pro Production
1000 podium. “It was really dusty out there and
we weren’t really prepared for it. The second
row start was tough and it was really difficult
to see. Despite that, the RZR worked great. Our
Sparks engine ran great and our Maxxis tires performed
excellent. I just wish we would have been a little
more prepared for the conditions, so I could have
done better for my sponsors,” said Baron.

Triple S Polaris’ Ray Bulloch, out of Cedar City,
UT drove his Polaris RZR XP 1000 to a top five
finish despite the dust and rough conditions.
“We started on the last row and I had never done
a dead engine start before in a SxS. It was definitely
different. The dust was probably the worst I have
ever seen. Ryan Piplic and I got into each other
about a mile in and went over the berm. He endo’d
and I managed to save it, so from that point on
I tried to listen for engines and try to watch
for whoever was up front because there was a lot
of carnage everywhere. After the first lap, things
cleared out a bit but there was still a lot of
dust. Overall it was still a fun race and I have
to thank Triple S Polaris, Lucas Oil and Bulloch
Dirt Works for all their help this season,” said
Bulloch.
