BITD Parker 250 Pro Turbo UTV
Race Report
::Continued::
Branden Sims, along with co-driver Justin Krause,
was in the same short wheelbase #913 Lonestar
Racing Polaris he campaigned all last season.
He proved that sometimes a well-sorted older car
with “proven” tires are the keys to consistent
success that had him on the podium in every race
since last year’s Mint 400.

/ ITP's Branden Sims rounded out the top
three, which is a great start to defending
his 2016 BITD Pro Turbo UTV Championship |
“It’s hard to ruin a good thing,” said Sims of
his Polaris. “It’s taken good care of me and it
worked pretty well today. I don’t have a ton of
time on my hands, so I may be in the same car
all year. Lonestar Racing has been an epic part
of this. I’m glad to have them back this year.
ITP is killing it for me. These are the same tires
I ran at Baja, at the Pahrump 450 and then this
race. I am pretty impressed they did so well.
Since the Mint last year, we’ve been on the podium
at every race.”
Cognito Racing's Tomas Sallvin backed up his
fourth place finish at Pahrump 250 with another
fourth place finish at the Parker 250, which proved
it was no fluke, and he is a series contendar
in his first full season of BITD racing in 2017.

with another impressive 4th place finish
in the Pro Turbo UTV Class |
Phil Blurton and co-driver Beau Judge made their
BITD debut in the #944 No Limits Can-Am Maverick
X3. The pair had previously competed at local
short course events in California for many years
and are now planning on competing full time this
season in BITD.

Pro Turbo UTV Rookie, Phil Blurton, made
an impressive debut in his No Limits Can-Am
Maverick with a 5th place finish |
“This is our first BITD race and our first time
in this new car,” said Blurton. “We both race
short course…local stuff. We saw that BITD has
the biggest names and the best talent, so we built
a car and came down. We’re going to race this
whole season. This is totally independent program.
We built the entire car.”
