AMATEUR
ATV RACING REPORT |
In the Women’s class, it was the #99 Suzuki
of Paula Shank who took top honors, while Lexi
Wren finished in second and Paige Cowell claimed
third. In Production A, Casey McKibben, who took
5th in the heat race, walked away with the win,
with Michael Blanchard had to settle for second
and Kurt Tweedy landed in third. In Production
B, Brooks Williams took the win, followed by Paula
Shank in second and Justin Frindt in third.

Paula
Shank almost didn't make the Women's Main
when her clutch shattered on her Suzuki,
so she borrowed Zac Willet's backup Honda
to claim the Women's Class win and regain
the points lead over Lexi Wren |
Casey
McKibben was held off Michael Blanchard
to claims his 1st Prod A Class win for 2008,
and his 2nd place finish in 4 Stroke A extended
his points lead over Justin Lawson who finished
in 5th place |
In the youth classes, Lake Cuba continued to
dominate in the Youth Production 13-15 class with
Kenny Strader taking second and Christian Boling
finishing in third. In Production CVT, Peter Gabel
put his Polaris in the number one spot, followed
by Kevin Haggerty in second and Austin Lambert
in third. Gabel and Haggerty also claimed the
top two positions in the Production Auto class
with Chris Mills taking home third. In the Youth
Production Senior class Caden Pope claimed the
top spot on the podium with Nathan Linderman in
second and Kenny Strader in third.

There are only two rounds left in the 2008 Extreme
Dirt Track series with round seven scheduled for
August 16th at Victory Sports in Greenville, TN
where Harold Goodman hopes to increase his Pro
Points lead in hopes of taking his second EDT
championship, but the pressure will be on as Michael
Coburn is only 22 points away in the Pro points
race.
