Chuckie Creech Takes
EDT Racing Pro ATV Win
::Continued::
Garrett Keister ran his first full Pro season
this year and recorded his second podium finish
of the season with his third-place effort at the
season finale.

Keister claimed the final spot on the
Pro Podium
|
“I’m 17 and I think I’m the youngest running
the Pro Series this year,” said Keister. “You
would think with Chuckie getting older he’d also
be getting slower, but he is a hard guy to keep
up with. He’s really fast. We were battling there
for a couple of laps, but he just found a faster
line. We ran a consistent season and I think we
can do even better next year.”
While attempting to re-take the lead from Creech
on the final lap, Wolff spun and finished seventh.

Hoosier's
#71 Nathan Wolff held off Chuckie Creech
for several laps
|
“Chuckie passed me on an off camber turn on the
outside,” said Wolff. “The next lap, I tried to
make the same move he made on me. He slid out
just enough that we made contact and I had a get
off. It took me a few seconds to get back going.
I got passed by a few people, and there wasn’t
enough time to get up front. My conditioning was
near what I needed to be this year. If you’re
not riding every weekend, you won’t be in the
shape you need to be in.”
While not totally happy with his finish, Riley
was pleased after having clinched the Pro Championship
with a win in Round 6. In all Riley won four races
this season.
“I rocketed off the line pretty well,” said Riley.
“I came out of the first corner in first. I was
running my own race. I got a 15-20-second lead
when my front sprocket bolt backed out. I was
just trying to make it to the end, but it popped
off and I couldn’t make it to the end.”

Riley lost the lead when he was sidelined
with a mechanical issue |
Riley did get one victory here. He finished first
in the Pro Am race, ahead of Creech and Chris
Landreth. Riley took the lead from Creech early
in the event and was never seriously challenged.

“I came out second at the start behind Chuckie,”
said Riley. “We battled it out for three laps
before I made my move. From there, I got a comfortable
lead and went on to win. I think Chuckie was trying
to save himself, but I just kept on going to check
out the track for the Pro race.”

Creech added to his Pro victory with his runner-up
finish in Pro Am. “There was a prize for the holeshot,
so I wanted to get that,” said Creech. “No matter
what happened, I was going to finish second in
Pro Am points, so my main objective was to save
myself for the Pro race. The track was really
rough, and I wanted to make sure to be fresh.”
