ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Local FTR racer Gus Rickman was on the gas and claimed third overall. The strong finish for Rickman was extra special as he had all of his quads stolen early in the season and this was his second race back. “After everything got stolen, I wasn’t able to race, so I am really glad to be back,” said Rickman.

Rickman came off the start and was behind Johnny Gallagher and got a flat tire, but he was able to catch back up to Gallagher and was able to get by when Gallagher crashed. “I had a flat tire the first lap but I caught back up and then Johnny crashed right in front of me. I had to swerve to miss him, but I got by and finished third,” said Rickman.
Veteran GNCC racer, Johnny Gallagher, was third off the start and fell back to fourth place where he stayed for most of the race until the final lap when he crashed. “I hit a rut and barrel rolled. My quad landed on top of me and it took a little while to get going again. That put me back to about sixth. There were a lot of lappers out there and that didn’t let me close back in on Rickman and Wolfe like I wanted to but I ended up with fourth which isn’t bad for not racing for three months,” said Gallagher.

Adam McGill made the pass for the lead early in the first lap and was show boating and having a great time. McGill had a nice lead on Cole Richardson, who was holding down second, but a clutch issue put a stop to McGill’s fun and caused him to limp his quad for the final lap. Despite the mechanical issues, McGill still rounded out the top five at the end of the day.
