Snowshoe GNCC Pro ATV Race Report

GNCC Morning ATV Race Report:
Traci Cecco Yamaha YFZ 450
Yamaha's Traci Cecco claims her 4th Overall win of the season followed by Angel Atwell as the points race intensifies among the ladies. Also, Mike Benson secures his 3rd Podium finish of the season on a Kawasaki Vforce 700
The morning race was hampered by weather conditions, heavy fog and a rain soaked course. The original intent was for the morning racers to run the 14 mile course and if any problems arose, to cut the track so that bottlenecks wouldn’t hinder the race. Unfortunately, on the very first lap, it was determined that the course was to be shortened and once the first lap was concluded, the racers found themselves redirected onto the youth course for the remainder of the event. Women’s class racers Traci Cecco and Angel Atwell battled as hard as ever until the remaining 2 laps where by Cecco took the lead back and held it to the end. U2 racer Michael Benson would once again find him self on the podium with as he finished in the 3rd overall spot.

The 4x4 classes were dominated by Warnert Racing /Can Am riders, as Scott Kilby took his first class win in 4x4 Open. Fellow Can Am rider Jerime Dudding grabbed his first class win as well this round in 4x4 Lites. Michael Swift continued his win streak to 8 by taking the 4x4 Limited class. Polaris/Rath racing backed Frank Batista also had his best GNCC finish to date by taking 2nd in 4x4 Open.

Another notable mention goes to Scott Norton, 36+C class. Norton backed up his round #9 class win with another win this round and looks to be heading for the class championship!

Round #11 will find us heading to the scenic Unadilla MX Facility where things will start getting tight for riders who remain on the bubble in the points chase. Expect some intense racing action amongst the best riders in the world!
