St. Clairsville, OH -
Bill Ballance put his head down and rode as smooth
as we have seen him all season to capture not
only the XC1 win at Powerline Park, but wrap up
the 2008 season Championship! Ballances win marks
history as he tops his own record and becomes
the 9th straight XC1 Pro ATV Champion, a feat
that will not soon be broken if ever.

Yamaha's
Bil Ballance secures a record breaking
9th straight XC1 Pro ATV Championship
with yet another win at Powerline Park
|
While it was Brandon Sommers getting the holeshot
and early lead, Bill Ballance would soon over
take the number one position and put a healthy
lead between himself and those doing their best
to reel him in. While the efforts were valiant,
no one ever came close to mounting a charge
as Ballance crossed the finish line with a race
time of 1:55:11.

Donald Ockerman riding on one wheel as
he holds down 2nd Overall |
For Yamaha’s Donald Ockerman, this round
would see him make the step up to the XC1 class
after wrapping up the XC2 championship at Unadilla.
Ockerman is well know for his speed and consistency
and wasted no time climbing to the front of
the XC1 running order. Ockerman secured the
2nd place position behind Ballance and took
his place on the podium for the first time as
a series Pro! Ockerman poses a serious threat
for 2009 and it will be an interesting season
has his talent hits the already insane level
of competition in the XC1 class.

Chris Borich put his head down to earn
his 4th Podium finish of the year
|
Chris Borich continued his late season run with
another podium finish and has him in contention
to challenge for 2nd place in points if he can
do well at the final round. Borich may have found
what ever was missing in his program, namely some
good luck. The highs and lows of this season surely
weighed on the young racer as he watched his chances
for a championship ride away, but you can be sure
he will come out swinging to finish this season
and should be once again the rider to watch in
2009.
