The final spot in the top 5 would see Chris Bithell
claiming another solid finish as it appears his
efforts are finally coming to light. Bithell claimed
1 win a season that found him in the pits more
often then finishing the race. While bad luck
and mechanical misfortune kept his season worlds
apart from his 2007 results, Bithell and crew
showed they could stick to working hard and never
gave up as the last few races finally had this
extremely talented racer getting some results
that we all know he is capable of.

Can-Am's
Chris Bithell finished out the season
with 3 straight top 6 finishes, which
should have Bithell back in the hunt
for 2009 on the DS450 after a season
of testing and fine tuning

The
North Carolina Mason, Bryan Cook, surprised
everyone with 5 Podium finishes and finished
out the year 5th Overall, which was a
season best for a privateer racer |

After over
a decade of racing in the GNCC series,
2008 may be the last full time year
of racing for Matt Smiley

Outside the top 5 would see riders battling for
year end points as 6th through 10th place remained
separated by only 5 points!Bryan Cook, Brandon
Sommers, Jarrod McClure, Ryan Lane and Matt Smiley
would duke it out for position as they crossed
the line, finishing out the top 10. Sommers rookie
pro season has him primed as he has a few months
to work on any detail of his program that might
net him any advantage to run up front again as
he can now look past his incredible first XC1
season. Cook put in a valiant effort this year
and showed that a privateer can run with the factory
backed teams. It hasn’t been announced what
his plans will be for 2009 or if his spectacular
season will net him some support.
For ATVriders.com rider Jarrod McClure, this last
race was important as he searched for a single
digit number to carry into 2009. A wreck in the
first few turns had McClure stuck behind those
racers as the top of the XC 1 class disappeared
onto the course. McClure would ride well and move
up through the ranks as the race came to its end,
finding McClure in the 8th position. Jarrod’s
efforts this season will net him the #10 plate
for the 2009 season , not the single digit he
was searching for, but an excellent performance
on the year!

Jarrod
McClure finished out the year with a
10th Overall, and for 2009 he planning
to make the switch to another ATV along
with racing more on the West coast in
the WORCS Series
|
William
Yokley finished out the year in 8th Overall,
and he will switch to the Polaris Outlaw
for 2009 along with the XC2 Runner Up
