In the Pro-am class, Walker Fowler remained
undefeated as he took his fourth straight
win of the season. Fowler’s impressive
performance also allowed him to break into
the top five overall for the afternoon classes,
and finished four minutes ahead of everyone
else in his class.
Gabe Phillips took his third second place
finish of the season, bringing him up to
second in the Pro-am points chase, while
Eric Hoyland held on to take a third place
finish in his class. Hoyland now holds third
in points, but is not far behind Phillips.

In the morning classes, Masters 50+ class
racer Dave Simmons took the overall win
and topped the morning podium while Can-Am/Warnert
Racing’s Lexie Coulter took her second
Women’s class win of the season and
took over her class points lead. “I’m
really stoked to take another win and I
hope I’m able to do it again when
we go to Loretta Lynn’s. I’ve
been training hard and we have been doing
a lot of work on the quad and it is really
paying off,” said Coulter. Coulter’s
class win also put her in second place overall
while Kristen Atwell, who took second in
the Women’s class, claimed the final
spot on the morning podium.

Can-Am X-team racer, Bryan Buckhannon claim
his second win of the season in the 4x4
Open class after a tough battle with Can-Am/UXC
Racing’s Michael Swift. Buckhannon
was able to take the lead in the final lap
and take the win, while Swift would settle
for second. “It was a tough race,
and it was a long race, so I’m really
happy to take that win,” stated Buckhannon,
who like all morning class racers, were
subjected to a longer, six lap race that
put them well over the two hour mark.
In the U2 class, Can-Am/UXC Racing’s
Cliff Beasley went on to take another win
in his quest for his second perfect season.
Beasley’s win at Big Buck brings him
to a total of 23 consecutive class wins
since 2009.
Round number five of the 2011 GNCC series
will head to Hurricane Mills where the legendary
Loretta Lynn’s Ranch will play host
on April 30th as Chris Borich will be going
for another win in the afternoon classes
and Cliff Beasley will try to remain undefeated
in the morning U2 class.
