In the Pro-am class, Walker Fowler remained undefeated as he took his fourth straight win of the season. Fowler’s impressive performance also allowed him to break into the top five overall for the afternoon classes, and finished four minutes ahead of everyone else in his class.

Gabe Phillips took his third second place finish of the season, bringing him up to second in the Pro-am points chase, while Eric Hoyland held on to take a third place finish in his class. Hoyland now holds third in points, but is not far behind Phillips.

In the morning classes, Masters 50+ class racer Dave Simmons took the overall win and topped the morning podium while Can-Am/Warnert Racing’s Lexie Coulter took her second Women’s class win of the season and took over her class points lead. “I’m really stoked to take another win and I hope I’m able to do it again when we go to Loretta Lynn’s. I’ve been training hard and we have been doing a lot of work on the quad and it is really paying off,” said Coulter. Coulter’s class win also put her in second place overall while Kristen Atwell, who took second in the Women’s class, claimed the final spot on the morning podium.

Can-Am X-team racer, Bryan Buckhannon claim his second win of the season in the 4x4 Open class after a tough battle with Can-Am/UXC Racing’s Michael Swift. Buckhannon was able to take the lead in the final lap and take the win, while Swift would settle for second. “It was a tough race, and it was a long race, so I’m really happy to take that win,” stated Buckhannon, who like all morning class racers, were subjected to a longer, six lap race that put them well over the two hour mark.

In the U2 class, Can-Am/UXC Racing’s Cliff Beasley went on to take another win in his quest for his second perfect season. Beasley’s win at Big Buck brings him to a total of 23 consecutive class wins since 2009.

Round number five of the 2011 GNCC series will head to Hurricane Mills where the legendary Loretta Lynn’s Ranch will play host on April 30th as Chris Borich will be going for another win in the afternoon classes and Cliff Beasley will try to remain undefeated in the morning U2 class.
