Kevin Yoho made his way up from an eighth
place start to take seventh in the pro class,
while Jeff Pickens rode a consistent race
to finish in eighth. Craig Bowman came up
from the back of the pack to round out the
top ten in the pro class, while AMA ATV Motocross
pro Derek Swartfager hung on for eleventh.
Suzuki’s Chris Borich, who has had
a Snowshoe win elude him for the past two
seasons, would look promising early in the
race as he was in a strong second behind Chris
Bithell. Everyone was watching in anticipation
and waiting for Borich to make his signature
move in the final lap to take a win, but that
did not happen for Borich and would once again
miss out on an ever elusive victory at the
Snowshoe GNCC.
Johnny Gallagher, who got off to a good start,
suffered mechanical issues in the second lap
as did Mark Notman, who would end his day
in 14th place.
In the Pro-am ranks, Walker Fowler was again
unstoppable as he came from a second place
start to take over his class lead in the second
lap and take it all the way to the checkered
flag. Fowler’s incredible performance
also gave him third overall on the afternoon
podium. Gabe Phillips charged hard to take
second in the Pro-am class, with Patrick McGuire
finishing in a close third.
