Can-Am
/ Warnert Racing's #4 Chris Bithell held
the early lead on more than one occasion,
but in the end, Bithell would finish off
the box in the 4th spot |
Can-Am/Warnert Racing’s Chris Bithell shot
off the line and took the early lead, but he had
plenty of company with Chris Borich right on his
tail. After battling it out with Borich, Bithell
fell back to third after getting stuck on a hillclimb,
costing him the lead temporarily. Bithell remounted
a charge and reclaimed the lead late in the second
lap, but he would get hung up again and fall to
the number four spot. Bithell was unable to make
up any ground before reaching the finish line
and would settle for a fourth place finish.

Guard's #16 Jarrod McClure puts in another
solid run with a Top 5 finish at Millfield,
which has McClure back up to 8th place
in the points race |
National Guard / Yokley Racing’s Jarrod McClure
was nothing if not consistent for this round.
McClure started out in the top ten and put the
hammer down, charging his way into fifth by the
end of the second lap. McClure looked smooth and
fast as he held down his position all the way
to the checkered flag to round out the top five
in overall.
“I’m pretty happy with
my finish. I’ve had a couple of good runs
the last couple of rounds and I’m trying
to stay consistent. We’re going to be doing
some work on the bike over the break to do some
testing and training and I’m hoping to come
back in September and hopefully be running in
the top three,” said McClure.

#13
Kevin Yoho was held at the end of lap
one for getting an early jump off the
line |
Ohio native, Kevin Yoho, grabbed the Holeshot,
but a time penalty for an early start sent Yoho
back to the 7th spot by the end of lap two.
Yoho fell back again after Donald Ockerman came
through the pack, leaving Yoho to settle for
eighth.
Johnny Gallagher got off to a mid-pack start
and held his position for two laps before making
the pass on Kevin Yoho, making his way into
the number seven spot at the midway point. Unfortunately,
Gallagher fell back, finishing in ninth.
Jeff Pickens got a great start in fourth, but
fell back to ninth late in the first lap. Pickens
would drop back again to round out the top ten
at the checkered flag after stopping to help

amazingly he charged back into the Top
20 Overall |
Can-Am/Warnert Racing’s Adam McGill,
who was in the hunt for another podium and hoping
to take over the points lead, ran into some
bad luck for round eight. McGill was in the
top ten off the start, but crashed early in
the second lap, which put him at the back of
the pack. McGill kept riding to salvage points,
but was only able to make his way back up to
eleventh place. However, his twenty-plus point
lead over teammate Chris Bithell allowed his
to hang on to second in the pro points chase.
Mark Notman would hang on to finish in twelfth,
while Craig Bowman would take a thirteenth place
finish. AMA ATV Motocross pro, Derek Swartfager
would end his day with the final fourteenth
position.
