Fowler placed fifth on his Ballance
Racing / Yamaha YFZ450R ATV at the Limestone
100 GNCC |
Yamaha / Ballance Racing’s Walker Fowler
was looking good early in the race as he got
a good start and was holding down third place
heading into the second lap. Fowler stayed
strong and looked as if he would finish on
the podium, but he would fall back to the
number five spot, where he would end his day.
Kevin Yoho had a great start and was holding
down the number two spot behind Brian Wolf
going into the second lap. Yoho, however,
dropped back in the second lap to the number
eight spot and was only able to recover to
a sixth place finish.
Brian Wolf was in second off the start and
quickly took over the lead in the first lap.
Wolf held the lead until lap two when Adam
McGill made the pass. Wolf stayed in the top
three until lap four when he hit a tree and
bent his tie rod which made it difficult for
him to control his quad and he dropped back.
Wolf stayed the course and was able to finish
in seventh place.

Racing’s Jarrod McClure grabbed
the Holeshot and ran in the top five
till the final lap when he clipped a
tree and broke a ball joint, which ended
his race |
National Guard/Yokely Racing’s Jarrod
McClure grabbed the Limestone 100 holeshot
and was leading for a short time. McClure
was looking strong, but clipped a tree early
in the race, which sent him back to seventh
place. McClure remounted a charge and worked
back into fourth place, and looked as if a
top five finish was in his sights, until the
final lap when he hit another tree and broke
a ball joint, ending his day early. “I
really have to thank Race Ready for building
my new motor. It was ripping fast and let
me get the holeshot. I was feeling great out
there and I really liked the track, so I was
pretty disappointed when my ball joint broke,”
said McClure.
