Jarrod McClure has been on fire so far this season by taking the podium at all three rounds. The Steele Creek GNCC turned out to be one of his best career races as of yet by earning a close second place finish on his JMR Honda.

McClure got out front quickly and by the end of lap one he held the number one position. On the fourth and final lap, McClure began to be challenged by defending GNCC XC1 Pro ATV Champion Chris Borich for the lead. The two swapped positions in the homestretch with Borich crossing the finish just three seconds ahead of McClure making for one exciting finish!

“It was pretty cool that last lap riding with Chris (Borich). I got a good start and my Baldwin Motor just rips! I got out front and Yoho was leading and I got around him and I was leading for awhile until we hit some lappers and we all got sorted out and I ended up second,” stated Jarrod McClure

Despite coming though scoring eleventh on the first lap and getting stuck by the Steele Creek concrete bridge, Adam McGill put the hammer down to earn the final spot the podium in the place.

“We didn’t get a real good start. On the last lap me and Bithell got together and we were ripping pretty good. Some lappers got over into me, and he (Bithell) got away from me. We got back going again and then I caught him until he ran into some mechanical issues. I hoping I was running third then and we came through the finish and it said third!” explained Adam McGill of his podium finish
