GNCC SxS Racing - Round 2 -
Race Report
::Continued::
In the XC2 Pro Sport class, Can-Am/Racer Tech’s
Joe Krcelich beat the muddy conditions and claimed
victory. Krcelich grabbed the holeshot and never
looked back. “I got the holeshot and caught up
to the class ahead of me. I just tried to drive
smart and finish the race. There were cars everywhere
on the side of the track, so I didn’t go out there
and go as fast as I could because it was more
of a survival race than anything. I really have
to thank Racer Tech because their parts held up
great out there. The conditions were tough and
there was a lot of carnage but we were able to
take the win,” said Krcelich.

Craig Vanderhoof had a good start in the top
five and was having a good run but he was not
able to hold off Michael Swift and finished in
third.
Bryan Rigg ran a consistent race for a fourth
place finish and Mike Jenkins came from the back
of the pack to round out the top five in the XC2
class.
In the Single-seater class, Racer Tech’s Sam
Yokley, who was making his GNCC racing debut aboard
the Polaris Ace, handled the mud like a pro. Yokley
battled for the lead early in the race, but was
unable to make a pass stick, so he stayed close
to the leader and waited for another opportunity.
Yokley didn’t have to wait long and in the final
lap he took over the lead and took the win. “That
was my first race and I had a lot of fun, especially
to get the win,” said Yokley.
