GNCC Racing SXS / UTV Race
Report
::Continued
The GNCC Racing XC2 Pro Sport SxS class would
prove to be a battle royale with the lead vacillating
between Joe Krcelich, current points leader, Doug
Gust in a Can-Am and the eventual victor, Polaris
RZR pilot, Sean Bogdan. Stoked to get the win,
Bogdan worked his way up the field and never looked
back. “The Racer Tech bumper hit things I never
should have in that dust, and the MMS wheels,
Tireballs and CST set-up gave me the traction
I needed”, said the winner.

Coastal Racing's
Sean Bogdan claimed the XC2 SxS / UTV
Win

Former Pro ATV Motocross multi-time champion,
Doug Gust, secured his best finish of the season
in the second spot. This is Gust first year competing
in the GNCC Series in the Can-Am Maverick, so
it has taken him a few rounds to get into the
groove, but based on his racing history, he will
continue to be a threat for the podium in the
final two rounds of the season. Gust commented
on his finish, “It’s definitely different, it’s
brutal, you have so many elements… you gotta be
smart, it’s brutal.”

Doug Gust
claimed the 2nd Spot in the GNCC Racing
XC2 UTV Class
|
Jonathan Powers would take the final spot on
the podium in his Polaris RZR.
Krcelich would attempt to help out another racer,
get his Can Am entangled in the process and break
an axle, leaving him to limp home in twelfth place.
He remained upbeat, saying that “we are gonna
regroup for October and come out swinging.”

Racer Tech's
Joe Krcelich remains in the points lead
after four rounds of GNCC Racing in the
XC2 Pro Sport SxS / UTV Class
|
Despite his disappointing finish, Krcelich remains
in the lead, while Michael Swift’s consistent
placings in his Team UXC Racing’s Polaris RZR,
have left him a mere three points behind, with
Bogdan and Plavi sharing third just four points
shy of Swift.

Team UXC
/ Polaris SxS Racer Kevin Trantham claimed
the Amateur Modified SxS win at the John
Penton GNCC
|
Team UXC Racing pilot and amateur Modified points
leader, Kevin Trantham would take the class win
and finish an impressive 14th overall.
|
Rich Travalena
claimed his third straight win in the
Amateur Limited UTV Class
|
With four of the six UTV GNCC Racing rounds completed,
the summer break will give the pilots and their
machines time to recoup and recover, before the
season continues in October at Powerline Park.
