Taylor Kiser Earns His First Win of the Season

Kevin Cunningham got off to a late start but soon began to reel in the top three as the race progressed. Cunningham used a late pit strategy to his advantage to move up a couple spots to earn second for the day.

“I got off to a rough start but I put my head down and I started charging pretty hard and I got passed Jay (Humphrey) and a few other guys.  I came through on the second lap and I caught Taylor when he was pitting for fuel. The track was great and the bike was riding awesome,” explained Kevin Cunningham

Jay Humphrey grabbed the holeshot in the MAXC Pro Class

After finishing sixth in the MAXC Pro Points Championship in 2013, Jay Humphrey stepped it up a notch for 2014 as he grabbed his first podium finish of the year at Porter’s Cave Run MAXC. Humphrey grabbed the Holeshot and the early lead before he began to fell pressure from Cole Richardson, Taylor Kiser, and Kevin Cunningham. Humphrey fell back to third before setting a steady pass to bring him the final spot on the MAXC Pro ATV podium.

“The first lap didn’t go that well for me. I just kind of cruised and I fell back a little bit and I slowly got back going, but I pushed forward and finally made it on the podium! The track got a little rough and the MAXC crew did a good job setting up he track,” stated Jay Humphrey

Dalen Schoolcraft finished fourth at Porter's Cave Run MAXC

Rounding out the top five in the MAXC Pro ATV Class was Dalen Schoolcraft and Mike Palmer who finished fourth and fifth respectively.
