“We got off to a good start and ended up
with the holeshot and made a couple little
mistakes around the first lap and fell back
some. I had a really good battle with Kevin
throughout the day. He got by me when we pitted
there and then I got him. I just had a really
hard time keeping it on four wheels. But overall
I had a good day; the bike was working really
well. The Exit Shocks were working awesome,
the MAXXIS Tires gave me awesome traction
today and overall I can’t say enough about
the machine and my team, they all did a great
job. We were able to pull out another win
and build our points lead and hopefully get
another championship here,” said Kiser.

Kevin Cunningham got a good start and was
running towards the front. In the second lap,
Cunningham made the pass on Ryan Lane and
was behind Taylor Kiser. “I got off to a good
start there and I wanted to sit back a little
bit and just run with the guys and not get
out front early because I knew a couple mud
holes out there were big and I didn’t want
to make any mistakes. I got behind Kiser and
we kind of just picked our way through the
race and I ran with him all afternoon. I’m
not making any excuses up but I had a few
back brake issues and he made a few mistakes
and I thought I could catch up to him and
make it stick, but I fell back with the brake
issue and just couldn’t make up the time,
and I’m happy to be back in second,” said
Cunningham.

Ryan Lane was looking good off the start
as he was in second place and took over the
lead before the end of the first lap. Lane
held his lead for a time, but fell back. “Kiser
came down off from a really steep hill and
into a really sharp turn and he caught a tree
and I got around him and led the first lap
and part of the second one. I was having a
bunch of trouble with my goggles and the tape
was getting so bad. I don’t know, I was messing
with that and he got around me somewhere in
the mess. I think I was about forty second
back and then a minute back. I was trying
to cruise and just hang in there and not feel
too sore when it comes to Monday and Tuesday,”
said Lane, who ended his day in a respectable
third place.
