This round of the series was held in conjunction
with the Miracle Trail Ride and Race for its
fifth annual fund raiser for Riley Hospital
for Children. The event was basically a big
ride event with mud bogs trail rides on Saturday
and MAXC Races held on Sunday. Despite the
event overlapping with the John Penton GNCC,
turnout was still good.
On Saturday night, rain showers moved in
and continued during the morning classes.
Skies did begin to clear later on leaving
partly cloudy conditions for the rest of the
day and good track conditions with no dust
for the ATV races. Racing was delayed for
about 45 minutes due to the rainfall but otherwise
everything went very smooth.

Round
3 of the MAXC Racing series had over
120 total ATV entries for the day

In the Pro class, defending champ, Taylor
Kiser, grabbed the holeshot and was followed
closely by Kevin Cunningham and Ryan Lane.
Lane was able to make a move on both Cunningham
and Kiser in the first lap and take over the
lead, but not for long as Kiser fought back
and reclaimed his position. “The MAXXIS Tires
for sure got me off to the holeshot and worked
awesome the rest of the race. They’ve been
a long-time supporter and are actually my
title sponsor this year so I’m definitely
really happy with everything they are doing
for me,” said Kiser.

Kiser did fall back once again when he stopped
for fuel and Kevin Cunningham went by. Kiser
charged hard and soon caught Cunningham and
retook the lead. Once he was back out front,
Kiser held his lead all the way to the checkered
flag for the Pro win.
