NE EDT Racing - Round 6 Busco Beach Goldsboro, NC August 6, 2016

In the RATH Racing Pro-Lite class, it was another win for Element44 / Turtle Racing Engines / Canup Trucking’s CJ Robson. Robson got off to a solid start to the race coming off the line in third place behind Matt Schaeffer in second and Tyler Butts who took the Blood Enterprises / Extreme Promotions holeshot award.

Schaeffer and Robson quickly got around Butts and were in a battle of their own at the head of the pack within the first lap. Robson then turned it up a notch and was able to take over the lead from Schaeffer and was out front to run at his own pace around the fourth lap of the contest. Robson, with no one left to get in his way, was on a mission and never gave an inch to the rest of the pack as he completed the final lap with another first place finish for himself at Busco Beach.

Schaeffer Excavating / Element44 / Hoosier Tire’s Matt Schaeffer celebrated his birthday this weekend at Busco and kicked it off right with a podium finish of his own as well. Nearly getting the holeshot, Schaeffer was the head of the pack for several laps until losing the position to Robson who was on his way to the front of the pack. Schaeffer however, stayed on the gas and brought home a superb second place finish, one of his best of the season as well.

Cascade Hair Salon / Tru-Way Racing / DASA’s Cole Stearns has been making a name for himself in the Pro-Lite class, taking a third place finish at round five in Ohio, and now another third place podium for round six. Stearns had a tough start but quickly got into third place by the time the first lap was completed. Stearns kept up his momentum and never made a mistake, bringing home the third place position with ease and now sits in third place in championship points as well, just one single point behind Robson who is holding second place to Damian King in the championship points race.

The next round of the New East Extreme Dirt Track Nationals will be held in Hamlin, Pennsylvania on September 24th. However, there is a special event; part of the NE-EDT Northern Points Championship, being held September 3rd at the Hutchinson Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Minnesota! This even is sure to bring in racers from far and wide as Daryl Rath from RATH Racing will be hosting the event. Be sure to come check out the racing action no matter which location has to offer!
