Josh Creamer went 3-1 to claim the overall
in the Open Pro-Am class as he prepare
for the AMA ATV Motocross race this coming
weekend at Steel City |
In the Pro-am class, Josh Creamer got off to a
less that desirable start in mid pack and had
to fight is way through traffic. Creamer would
work his way into the number three spot before
crossing the finish line. In Pro-am moto two,
Creamer got off to a much better start in second
place. Creamer soon took the lead away from Michael
Pilotte and checked out to take the moto win and
the overall Pro-am win.
Nate Morello continued his holeshot streak
in the first Pro-am moto, with Michael Pilotte
right on his grab bar. Morello was able to hold
off Pilotte and had some relief with Josh Creamer
being tied up in mid pack. That allowed Morello
to take his first moto win of the season.

Morello and Pilotte one again battled for the
holeshot in the second Pro-am moto. The pair
charged into the first corner, but this time
it was Pilotte who came out the victor, leaving
Morello in second. Morello would eventually
fall back to third place, but is 1-3 finish
earned is the second spot on the Pro-am podium.

Joe Haavisto suffered a DNF in the Open
Pro Class, which cost him a shot at the
Podium, but in the Open Pro-Am class,
Haavisto put together a 4-2 for 3rd Overall |
Kawasaki’s Joe Haavisto ran two consistent
motos in the Pro-am class. Haavisto took a respectable
fourth place in the first moto and put on a hard
charge in moto two. “I got a decent start
in the second moto and was able to pass Morello
to take over third, then Pilotte stalled a few
laps later and I moved into second place,”
said Haavisto, whose 4-2 finishes earned him the
final spot on the Pro-am podium.
Michael Pilotte, who has really stepped up
his game this season, had a good start in moto
one, taking second in the holeshot and holding
his position all the way to the finish line.
In the second Pro-am moto, Pilotte grabbed the
holeshot and led for a good portion of the race,
before stalling in lap five, and falling back
for a fourth place finish. Pilotte’s impressive
performance earned him fourth place overall.
Jason Connell rounded out the Pro-am top five
with a 5-7 finish while Aaron Meyer was once
again “Mr. Consistent” with a 6–6
finish, taking sixth overall. Rocco Arno, Jr.
claimed the number seven spot overall and Ralle
Rookie finished in eighth. The number nine spot
went to Tony Lucaselli, and Jeff Badley’s
12-9 finishes had his rounding out the Pro-am
top ten.

Performance's Matt Pomeroy dealt with
some issues this weekend, which kept out
of the running |
Can-Am’s Matt Pomeroy was having a tough
time of things in the second Pro-am moto when
he encountered some mechanical issues and was
forced to try and push his bike across the finish
line. Despite Pomeroy’s best efforts,
he did not make the two minute time limit and
had to take a DNF for the moto, which put him
in eleventh overall.
The next round of the NEATV Motocross series
will be heading to Jolly Roger Motorsports Park
in Lempster, NH on May 24th where the battle
for the Pro championship will begin to heat
up as racers now have their bikes dialed in
and ready to go.
