Jason Connell put in two solid motos to claim
sixth overall and Can-Am’s Matt Pomeroy
looked smooth and consistent to take the number
seven spot overall. Despite some motor problems,
Michael Pilotte still hung on to finish in eighth
overall with Dave Larochelle in ninth and Nate
Morello rounded out the top ten in spite of
mechanical issues in both motos.

Aaron
Meyer grabbed another Holeshot in the
Open Pro-Am class |
In the Open Pro-am class, Joe Haavisto had the
upper hand. Haavisto was in third off the line
but made quick work of the competition in the
first moto, taking the lead quickly and holding
it for the entire moto despite pressure from Richard
Pelchat. Although Pelchat was close, he was not
able to make a pass and had to settle for second.
Michael Pilotte was looking good as he came
off the line in 4th place. Pilotte was able
to make the pass on Greg Gee to take over third,
but it was looking a little shaky for Pilotte
when he began having mechanical issues. Luckily
Pilotte was able to hang on to third place as
he crossed the finish line. Greg Gee appeared
to be having some issues, which allowed Aaron
Meyer to get around him for fourth place, forcing
Gee to settle for fifth.

Can-Am's
Richard Pelchat claimed the 2nd spot behind
Kawasaki's Joe Haavisto |
In the second moto Richard Pelchat was in the
lead followed by KTM’s Nate Morello, and
Greg Gee, but Joe Haavisto would quickly work
his way up, passing Morello and Gee and taking
the lead away from Pelchat. Morello would eventually
fall back, leaving Pelchat running in a comfortable
second place, but with only a couple of laps
to go, Pelchat crashed on the finish line jump.
The crash sent him back several spots and allowed
Michael Pilotte to take over third. Pelchat
was able to recover quickly from his wreck and
worked his way back up to the number four position
before crossing the finish line.
