Natalie railed the uphill jump just before
the finish line. |
Michelle Suciu would mark up two wins, but not without
a challenge from Michelle Natalie in the first moto.
The two Michelle’s went swapped positions several
times before the checkered. Kelly Winters went 4-2
for the second overall. Kristy Laurine’s 3-3
finishes earned her a 3rd overall. Natalie brought
home 4th while Myka Carpenter rounded out the top
5.
One of the hardest battles of the day was between Carlie
Mcvay and Niko Difonza. The two youth production riders
were both on Honda’s, but it would be Mcvay who
would come out on top. Cody Stang brought home the 3rd
place overall with Jacob Dombroski and Tyler Cramer
rounded out the top 5.
Jordan Davidovich would bring home top honors in the
90 production Auto class with Brandy Cottage putting
in a solid performance for a 2nd place finish. Kelsey
Laurine went 5-2 to round out the top 3.

Joel Hetrick was the professor in the 90 Modified class
as he schooled his competitors on how to tear up the
Pleasure Valley Race track. Joshua Walker put in a hard
ride and took home 2nd place with Jordan Kaufman, of
Damasuc, MD, following up in third. David Nevrotski
would bring in 4th overall, but would take home an overall
win in the 70 Shifter class.
The 90 CVT was not dominated by any one rider, but
Shane Nelson’s 1-6 was good enough to earn him
the overall. Joseph Espey would take home a moto 2 win,
but a DNF in the first moto would place him 10th overall.
D5 rider, Ryan Smith put up 6-2 for 2nd place honors
follow by Shelby Cobrando rounding out the top 3.
The 70 CVT (6-11) class winner traveled from Bloomsburg,
PA. With Stanley Bohenek taking top honors, Jeremy Ledonne
and Joseph Espey battling for the 2nd place overall.
Ledonne was able to edge out Espey with a second moto
win.
Last but not least, the 50 Production Auto class was
owned by David Bolanz aboard his Cobra. Jonathan Vargo
lowered his head and put in a hard second moto to edge
out Ryan Bohenek for the 2nd place overall.
The event ran smoothly while the track crew was able
to minimize dust with minimal amounts of mud created
by a water truck. The Suzuki Regional ATV Championship
series continues May 6th at the Steel City Raceway.
